At Casa 2 Cadiz, the Spanish residence of international painter Ùrsula Romero, we offer painting and sketching holidays. All are welcome. The days consist of painting, sketching, eating, drinking and taking time to explore Granada's most abundant valley.
Education is at the heart of everything we do here at Cadiz 2. We provide a wealth of inspirational learning opportunities for everyone from childhood years and beyond, internationally and locally. It’s all part of our mission to connect people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds with eachother and the natural world, whilst simultaneaously inspiring and empowering them to continue growing into the people they want to be, with the skills they want to learn, in a relaxing, Mediterranean environment.
Casa 2 Cadiz is a great place to visit if you want a slow, nourishing weekend in the hills of the Lecrín Valley in Southern Spain. If you want to escape the demands of daily life whilst enhancing your painting skills, eating delicious food, learning the odd Spanish phrase and catching a few rays of sunshine. Below we have some of our 2024 courses. We are hoping to extend our workshops beyond painting in 2025 to include other arts and crafts such as lacemaking, dressmaking, bookbinding, basketry, chairweaving and landscape painting. We also hope to hold classes in Flameno and Languages and are looking forward to starting our monthly Wednesday Supper Club in due course.

This is a gorgeous place to learn botanical painting. Úrsula is an attentive teacher and her studios have lots of natural Spanish light and space to paint larger pieces. The rooms are beautifully decorated and you feel very welcome into her home. - Emma S.

Learn to paint in Úrsula's house on a private one to one 2-day course. This slimmed down course focuses soley on painting. You get to stay in her Andalucian residence, take in the vibrancy of Spanish life and learn to paint in her studio without distractions.

This 12-month innovative programme of online mentoring by Úrsula Romero is for painters who want to develop or reinvigorate their work, whether recently graduated from art school, mid career or those without any formal arts education. The correspondance course is designed and structured to be delivered entirely online so that painters, based anywhere in the world and at any stage in their career, can participate and receive informed, critical feedback.
